Thank you for your joining the Fayson Gators 2025 Swim Team! We have an exciting Season ahead! Go Gators!
Do you agree to volunteer at a minimum of 3 Dual Meets and at the A's Championship *
The FAYSON LAKES SWIM CLUB has been promoting competitive swimming within our community for over 40 years. We are not a learn‐to‐swim program; we encourage the development of competitive swimming skills. Prior experience is not necessary, but a minimum capability of 25 yards unaided swimming is required. Swimming is fun and, in addition, it develops character, a healthy body and teaches good sportsmanship. The swimmers and coaching staff do their part in competition, but the achievement of a winning team is also dependent upon the parents. Adults set the example for sportsmanship, dependability, enthusiasm and hard work. In the Commitment Agreement below, you will find a variety of parent responsibilities. Please indicate your participation interests.
Registration Fee for Gators and Hatchlings: $230 first swimmer, $155 each additional swimmer. This fee will cover the following privileges: Swimmer's fee and entry fees for all invitationals, Team T-Shirt, ice cream social, swim across breakfast and Lakeland Conference Swimming registration fees as a team. Swimmers 16+ who work full/part-time and cannot attend practices regularly must pay a $100 fee. This fee does not apply to those who can attend practices intermittently. The discounted swimmer is counted last (e.g., 1st swimmer $230, 2nd swimmer working and not attending practices $100). Swim team membership will also cover additional supplies and equipment purchased to protect the health and safety of our members. Fees can be paid via Venmo - @Faysongators. While Venmo is the preferred method of payment, you can pay with a check made out to the Fayson Lakes Swim Club and mail or drop it off to Kelley McSweeney, 8 Fayson Lakes Rd.
A child may not swim as part of the FAYSON LAKES SWIM CLUB unless his/her family’s Fayson Lakes Association membership dues and FAYSON LAKES SWIM CLUB registration fees are up to date and paid. Any family hardships should be brought to the attention of the Treasurer/ Fayson Gators Swim Board as soon as possible and will be handled in a confidential manner. Every child who wants to swim deserves the opportunity to participate. Swim team membership refunds will only be granted prior to July 1. Members who choose to withdraw from the swim team must provide written communication to both the swim team board and the swim team coaches. The membership processing fee of $20 is non-refundable. The Fayson Lakes Swim Club Board of Directors
Pre-Swim Team is designed to foster a love for swimming and competition. Pre-Swim Team will prepare children for the Fayson Lakes Swim Team as well as overall water safety. All Participants must be able to follow directions and get into the water without fear. All participants must be evaluated by the Head Coach. Competition in meets is not gauranteed and will only occur once the Head Coach deems the swimmer ready, and safe to compete. Registration fees are the same for Hatchlings and Gators for the 2025 season.
As parents/guardians, we hereby pledge our support in connection with our child(ren)’s participation as members of the Fayson Lakes Swim Club (the “Team”) for the 2025 season. As parents, we pledge to the following:
• We will make every effort to ensure their attendance at all practice sessions and all scheduled dual meets and invitationals.
• We understand our personal encouragement of their efforts in connection with all phases of the Team’s program will make them better swimmers, foster good sportsmanship and, most importantly, make them better people as they mature through young adult life. We agree to the registration fee, as has been established, and agree to pay these fees in full no later than May 25, 2025.
• We understand transportation is our responsibility. • We promise our support by volunteering our personal services in areas of Team activity. As such, we agree to volunteer for specific Team responsibilities.
Parents of every swimmer swimming at an invitational are expected to volunteer in some capacity i.e. timing or officiating.
I acknowledge registration fees only cover approximately 60% of the operating costs for the team each season. Fund raising efforts, especially the Spring Flower sale and the Gator Gear support the balance of the costs associated with running the team. As such, our family will help to support these fundraisers in whatever way we can, which may include helping to promote, making purchases and volunteering to assist with fund raising overall. We ask that each family attempt to generate at least 6-10 Flower sale orders as this is the largest fund raiser we have.
The Fayson Gators is a successful swim team in large part due to the parents who volunteer their time to support team activities. I agree that to the extent that the team needs volunteers for meets or other team activities, I am expected to volunteer for my share of the work necessary to make this a successful swim year.
